Amar Gazipur (আমার গাজীপুর) (“we”, “the app”) is a free community app for the residents of Gazipur — finding blood donors, lost & found, local jobs, events, and a directory of local establishments. Your privacy matters to us. This policy describes what information we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, mobile number, and (optional) email and address.
• Profile photo: stored if you choose to upload one.
• Blood donor profile: blood group, last donation date, area, and availability (optional, only if you register as a donor).
• User-generated content: blood requests, lost & found posts, job and event listings, reviews, comments, and any images or contact details you attach to them.
• Communications: messages you send to support and content you report.

Information collected automatically

• Device & push token: device/push token and device type, used to deliver notifications.
• Usage & diagnostic data: which features are used, crash and error logs, and approximate timing — to improve the app.
• Approximate location: derived from the area/upazila you enter, to show nearby listings. We do not track precise GPS location.

2. How we use information

• Create your account and verify your mobile number via SMS OTP.
• Provide blood donor, listing, directory, and other community features.
• Send relevant notifications (such as blood requests).
• Prevent spam, fake profiles and abuse, review reports, and maintain security.
• Analyse app performance, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only:

• With other users: content you post publicly (such as your donor profile, blood requests, and lost & found posts) — including the name, area, and contact details you include — is visible to other users.
• With service providers: hosting, SMS OTP, push notification, and crash/analytics providers, only as needed to operate the service.
• For legal reasons: to comply with law or valid government requests, or to protect the safety of users and the public.

4. Data retention

We retain information while your account is active and, afterwards, for a reasonable period as needed for legal, security, and dispute-resolution purposes. When you request account deletion, we delete your personal information other than backups and logs.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and verified accounts. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

6. Your rights

• View and edit your information from your profile.
• Delete your own posts and content.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal information.
• Turn off notifications from your device settings.

7. Children’s privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

8. Third-party services

The app may use the following types of third-party services:
